England Away, John King

Characters from the previous two books in the trilogy, The Football Factory and Headhunters, come together and travel to Berlin, where England are playing away to Germany. Tommy Johnson narrates their passage from Amsterdam to Berlin, while back in England Bill Farrell remembers a similar route he traced as a soldier in the Second World War, confronting a traumatic memory in the process. Johnson and Farrell must face their demons.
