In an Ireland controlled by hypocritical Puritanism, Francis Ferriter is determined to wage war on the sin he sees around him. But when feelings for a beautiful young prostitute awaken within him, he is wept into a storm of personal conflict. Only a sacrifice of blood will calm his turmoil and purify society.
